Steps to make Daal dhan khichadi:
  1. Wash and soak jawar for 8-10 hours. Mix all dals and wash, add to jawar and add this all to pressure cooker. Add water 1cm above that. Add salt and do 5 whistles on medium to low heat.
  2. Let it cool down and open the cooker. Add chopped vegetables and sambhar masala. Mix well and simmer for a while then turn off heat & cover and close the cooker and keep it for 2-3mins. Serve hot with curd or lassi. (u can enjoy this with roti or paratha as a sabji too)
  3. NOTE- You can do change in flavor, u can avoid sambhar masala and add turmeric, red chilli powder and pinch garam masala with pinch kasuri methi. OR add crushed garlic, ginger and chilli and dry spices in less quantity. OR only salt and pepper, with veggies, OR ginger and lemon. OR roasted cumin and mint, OR spinach and garlic OR methi fresh and garlic, OR dry masala and garlic. Etc. (for green leafy vegetables, just chopped and wash then add at last) You can choose any of your favorite flavor.
