  1. Take 1/2 cup Urad dal
  2. Take 1/4 tsp Orange food colour
  3. Make ready 1 cup sugar
  4. Take 1/2 cup water
  5. Get 1 tsp lemon juice
  6. Get as needed oil for frying

  1. Wash and soak the urad dal in water for 2 hrs..
  2. Grind the urad dal to a smooth paste by adding very little water.
  3. Add orange food colour to get the required color and transfer the batter to a piping bag
  4. Boil sugar and water together to form one string consistency to get the sugar syrup.
  5. Heat oil in a kadai. Once it is hot, pipe in the batter into the oil in the required shape. Once it is cooked on one side, turn to the other side and cook till it is crispy.
  6. Take out the jangiri and soak it in the sugar syrup for 20-30 seconds. Yummy, crunchy, juicey jangiri is ready to be served as a snack.
