Sauté again and add green chilli and dry masalas and sambhar masala to it. Mix well and cook until the oil leaves the pan. Add this tadka to arhar daal and boil for few minutes. Add temarind water to give it a little tangy taste. Sambhar is ready
  5. Red chutney: take a pan heat oil and add rai dry red chilli jeera, curry patta, hing and splutter them add soaked daals and stir well add onions and garlic. Sauté well. Add dry masalas and cook for 5 minutes. You can also add 1/2 tbsp curd to it. When oil comes out then turn off the flame. Churn this mixture in a mixer to make a fine paste.
