Sabudana ki khichdi Is usually made during fasting days like Navratri or mahashivratri or Ekadashi.   3. Dahi Tikhari.. In a pan add 1 tsp oil. Add cumin and mustard seeds. Add turmeric and red chilli powder and pour curd over it. Add salt. Tikhari is ready to serve.
  4. Jeera aloo.. Boil potatoes and cut into cubes. In a pan add oil jeera and asafoetida. Add curry leaves, chopped chilli and turmeric. Add boiled potatoes and salt. Saute it for a while. Garnish with coriander..
  5. Baigan chutney.. Rub oil on Brinjal and roast it until cooked. Remove skin. Mash it adding ginger garlic paste, chopped green chilli and salt. Baigan chutney ready to serve.

The difference being, in Khichuri, we roast the lentil + rice' before cooking them and that adds a magical smokey aroma to this dish.
