  3. For Basbousa- Mix semolina, flour, coconut, sugar & baking powder.
  4. Melt butter as you beat the egg.
  5. Add milk, beaten egg, melted butter & almond extract to Dry mixture and mix well til smooth & combined
  6. Butter the inner baking tray & transfer mixture to tray.
  7. Using Knife, cut the basbousa into diamond shapes thus making 12 pieces.
  8. Transfer tray to oven and bake for 30 to 40 minutes until top of Basbousa is golden brown.
  9. Trace cuts made with knife.
  10. Pour the syrup over baked basbousa and leave to absorb.
  11. Preferably serve after an hour has elapsed with a cup of Moroccan Coffee
